Dark Woods Coffee is really proud of their under Milk Wood. Awarded a 3-star award and the “Golden Fork” in the 2016 Great Taste Awards for the best product in the North of England; it has also won a great taste award in 2017 & 2018.This espresso blend is designed to melt into milk to give you a wonderfully caramel flavoured cappuccino, using high-grade single estate coffees to deliver familiar flavours rather than challenge. The roast level is carefully balanced to avoid the bitter flavours associated with some tradition style espresso blends, or acidity of some lighter blends, letting the sweetness shine through. Under milk Wood is very versatile and works well as a filter coffee too, in cafetieres and drip filters.
Flavour: Melts to smooth caramel in milk
The current blend is Brazil Fazenda Passeio (pulp natural arabica), India Kalledevarapura Estate (washed arabica), Ethiopia Aricha (washed arabica)
Dark Woods use specialty grade coffees, (scoring more than 80% in Specialty Coffee Association grading) which have cleaner more distinctive flavours than cheaper commercial coffees and are traceable to skilled farmers and their farms across the world. Carefully roasted to produce an array of flavours to suit a wide range of styles and tastes — which may be why Dark Woods were awarded more Great Taste Awards than any other coffee company this year, as well as another "Golden Fork" for Best Northern Product.
Dark Woods Coffee - Under Milk Woods - 250g (Beans)
Dark Woods Coffee is an adventurous coffee roaster nestled on the edge of Marsden village in the West Yorkshire Pennines. They roast their coffee by hand on a 1950’s Probat drum roaster in a beautifully refurbished Victorian textile mill beside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and River Colne. The dramatic, windswept valley inspires the mood and flavours of their exceptional coffees.
We are really excited to add Dark Woods Coffee to our store. Their coffee is absolutely exquiste and we can't recommend it enough. To ensure we do justice to their range, we only carry 'beans' and limited stock. Whilst this means you need to order a few days before you require your coffee, it does ensure it reaches you in the best possible condition.
