According to legend, Kamut Khorasan was rediscovered by a U.S. airman while based in Egypt in WWII. He acquired a handful of grain from a tomb near Dashare. Apparently, the world’s Kamut® Khorasan is grown from those original 36 grains. Analysis showed that Kamut® Khorasan contains more protein, vitamins, minerals and amino acids than normal wheat and has a highly digestible gluten, suitable for those with wheat intolerance
