This pure summer multi-floral honey is produced in the Cambridgeshire countryside. It has a delightfully delicate floral flavour with a light yellow colour. A best seller at the BBC Good Food Show! This honey may crystallise over time and may turn a creamy white colour (this is natural so don't worry that the honey has gone off...just place the closed jar of honey into some hot water and in around ten minutes the honey will return to its normal state).
Uses: With its light flavour this multi-floral honey is great in baking, smoothies, marinades, salad dressings and to sweeten tea.
Maters & Co - Raw Cambridgeshire Summer Honey - 325g
Since the last century, Willem & Sara Maters have resided in the beautiful south Cambridgeshire countryside on a small holding with their own beehives, livestock and a wide range of organic fruit and vegetables. Their daughter Kate inherited this passion for healthy and natural living and decided to take this lifestyle beyond her family and children, and so, Maters and Co was founded upon these principles of raw, natural goodness of the highest quality.
After seeing a steady increase of foods which are genetically modified and sprayed with all kinds of chemicals, our core values, to help produce and source raw, natural products is stronger than ever. Supporting local and national producers by visiting and purchasing from them, as well as our overseas partners, helps to keep their small ethical businesses running and aiding their local environment.
We currently source our honey from our own hives in Cambridgeshire and a local beekeeper in Saffron Walden. We also source some honey from ethical beekeepers in Spain. Our raw honey is never pasteurised nor fine filtered, it is unprocessed and free from additives, this helps to preserve all the natural vitamins, enzymes, phytonutrients and other abundant nutritional elements. Our raw honey only comes from sustainable hives and predominantly farmed using organic methods. The bees are never given antibiotics, nor are they fed sugar or syrup in the winter months. All of which makes for the best quality of raw honey in its purest form, the way it should be.
We choose the highest quality of produce and pack them in the highest caliber of packaging. We use glass jars as they are infinitely recyclable, use less energy in manufacturing and contain no chemicals to leach into food.
Our jars are branded with 22ct gold and organic inks which are fired on at 580 degrees celsius. Our labels and boxes are hot foiled with gold to compliment these jars for a superior finish. We feel, the produce is of the highest quality, and so the packaging should also reflect this level, quality from the inside out.
